Since 1993, the Logan County Healthcare Foundation has worked to strengthen and support local healthcare services through privately funded donations and community-driven fundraising events. Born from the vision of Rod Bates, then hospital administrator, and launched with support from the Logan County Hospital, the Foundation held its first official meeting on June 29, 1993, and quickly became a vital advocate for rural health.

From the early days of annual auctions and the long-standing Drive for Health Golf Tournament, to a wide range of benefit events, the Foundation has rallied community support to improve access to care and quality of life in Logan County. Its participation in the Kansas Department of Commerce’s tax credit program has allowed the Foundation to maximize donations and expand its impact—helping to build and equip facilities like the New Frontiers Health Clinic and Logan County Health Department, provide scholarships for future medical professionals, restore pharmacy services in Oakley, and enhance hospital services with key purchases like a therapy pool and modern medical equipment.
